I know I enjoy these sorts of blog posts and YouTube videos so I thought it would be fun to share my everyday or almost everyday beauty products that I use. I didn't start wearing makeup regularly until just a couple of years ago when two friends took me shopping and stocked me up with some of their favorites! I'm still using most of the products they suggested but have branched out slightly so I could experiment with some others. I am not an expert, but it is fun to try new products and see how they change my fairly basic look.
San Francisco Soap Company Sugared Citrus Moisturizing Body Butter: This is my favorite lotion! The first time I got this lotion it was from a tiny travel sized hotel sample. I finally looked it up online and found that they had all kinds of other products but were in the pricier side of things with shipping added on. However, much to my surprise, my best friend bought me a big tub of the body butter for my birthday! (She even confessed to opening it when it arrived so she could smell it herself!)
Next up are the products I use on my face. I need to find a lotion with SPF that doesn't make me break out. I was using Oil of Beauty the generic Oil of Olay but seemed to break out A LOT so suggestions are welcome! Anyway, what I currently use is:
Maybelline Fit Me 125 Nude Beige Face Powder: I actually used to use the Dream Matte Powder but they were all open or broken (gross!) last time I had to buy more. I do prefer the Dream Matte Powder to Fit Me, but I am content enough with this to continue using it until I run out again.
New York Color Cheek Glow Central Park Pink: This is a pale pink color with almost a coppery hue to it. It has quite a bit of shimmer which I'm not to fond of, but I like the color and it actually layers really well. You can put on just a tiny bit for a little color and shimmer or add some more to get to color to stand out better.
Maybelline Coverstick Concealer in Fair: I really like how this blends and covers. I have dark circles partially because of my natural skin tone and partially because of my autoimmune issues...and yes, partially because I stay up too late. I think this gives really good coverage without looking unnatural. I had to buy a liquid one recently. Same trip, and same problem as with the face powder. All opened and gross. That shopping trip was at Target too not a sketchy drugstore or anything! I was a little disappointed.
Cover Girl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm 225 Rose Twist: LOVE this! It goes on sheer so the color isn't overwhelming, adds shine, goes on smoothly and keeps my lips feeling soft. This is the only product I bother to carry around in my purse when I'm wearing it!
