Summer Cold...

So, Friday was pretty busy then on Saturday when I intended posting the final installment of the von Trapp series I caught a cold. My colds are always like the month of March. In like a lion out like a lamb.

For the past few days I've been dealing with a sore throat, headaches, congestion, dizzyness, a low fever, and I've used 5 boxes of tissues so far! My voice is just about non-existent. I should be starting be on the mend now, By now you may have guessed that there won't be any post tomorrow either. I plan on getting back on schedule this Friday, July 4th. Check back then for a post that will include a little more enthusiasm than this one. *cough, sniffle*

Here are a couple of little paintings I did last week. If you follow my instagram you may have already seen these. They're part of a bigger project I think. Still rolling that idea around in my mind but there hasn't been much room to roll it lately with all this congestion.

Oh, Hi Atus!

Hiatus:  a break or interruption in the continuity of a work, series, action, etc.

Now that I am just about fully recovered from my cold. Man, that was a bad cold! I am crocheting again. FINALLY! Instead of continuing on the blanket that I've been anxious to finish, I pulled out another project that had been se aside for a while. Hey, variety is the spice of life isn't it? It's a sweater. I LOVE the yarn. My mother bought a bunch of it when she found it on sale. It's such pretty yarn. I love the shade of blue and it's sparkly too. See!

This is the pattern:
the pattern actually works really fast, I just get busy with other things and when I set something aside, I tend to really take a break from it for a few months before finally picking it up again. I've got 1 and a half sleeves left and I want to lengthen the whole shirt which means taking out all the work I did on that whole bottom edge. I'll probably have to lengthen the arms a bit too. I'm tall and string-beany so I tend to have to add a little length to anything with sleeves.

Here's what it looks like so far. :)

Hey you!! Yeah, you! Don't forget to 'like' me on facebook!!
